I Want to go on a Walk to Emmaus

Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him … They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the scriptures to us?” – Luke 24:31-32

What is the Walk to Emmaus?

The Walk to Emmaus is a 72-hour spiritual retreat that offers a transformative experience for Christians seeking to strengthen their faith. It’s an opportunity to meet Jesus in a new way, renew your heart, mind, soul, and spirit, and grow in your relationship with Him.
  • Open to Christians from all denominations
  • Designed to deepen your connection with God
  • Promotes unity and Christian leadership in your church, home, and workplace
"While they were talking and discussing, Jesus himself came near and walked with them."
— Luke 24:15

What to Expect During the Weekend

The Walk to Emmaus begins Thursday evening and concludes Sunday evening. It’s a life-changing experience filled with:
  • Small group discussions on themes like God’s grace, Christian discipleship, and how to live a life of grace
  • Worship, singing, and Holy Communion celebrated daily
  • Powerful talks from both laypeople and clergy, exploring the Christian faith in depth
  • Times of prayer and meditation, wrapped in the love and support of the Emmaus community
You’ll leave spiritually renewed and ready to bring that renewed faith back to your local church, your family, and your everyday life.

A Model of Christian Servanthood

At its core, the Walk to Emmaus models the servanthood of Jesus. Throughout the weekend, the Emmaus community will serve you through:
  • Prayer vigils
  • Meal preparation
  • Anonymous acts of love
By experiencing this care, you'll gain a deeper understanding of Christian love in action and be equipped to serve others in your own life.
