Are you a clergy member feeling called to support the spiritual journey of Emmaus participants? Serving as Clergy on an Emmaus Walk offers a unique opportunity to guide and uplift others in their faith.
What is the Role of a Clergy Team Member?
As a Clergy Team Member, you’ll offer spiritual leadership and pastoral care, guiding pilgrims as they experience the transformative power of Christ. Your role will include:
- Careful prayer before, during and after the walk
- Offering spiritual direction and guidance
- Supporting other team members and pilgrims with prayer and counsel
Eligibility and Commitment
To serve as a Clergy Team Member, you must:
- Be an ordained or licensed minister
- Have attended an Emmaus Walk or similar retreat
- Commit to attending pre-Walk team meetings for preparation and spiritual formation
How to Apply
- Complete the Clergy Application: Fill out the application to express your interest in serving on an Emmaus Walk.
- Submit Your Application: Your application will be reviewed by the Lay Director and Board, who will confirm your placement.
- Prepare to Serve: Once accepted, you’ll join the team meetings to connect, pray, and prepare as a unified team.
